CMS’ Opioid Safety Commitment Poster Program

Please see attached letter welcoming you as a TCPI-enrolled clinician to CMS’ Opioid Safety Commitment Poster Program. As detailed in the letter, CMS will be sending you posters via US mail to hang in your practice to educate your patients regarding appropriate pain management.  We hope you find the posters a useful resource as we work together to fight the opioid  epidemic.

Practice Spotlight

Cookeville Medical Clinic has set out to integrate patient engagement into the care management process. Through PDSA cycles, improvement efforts have identified better ways to use patient care plans through documenting goals within the EHR as well as co-developing treatment plans with patients and developing mechanisms to track progress. The clinic is also developing classes and educational campaigns designed to teach and promote self-management skills. Patient engagement is even an integral part of evaluating the impact of these efforts by collecting and reviewing patient feedback at each clinic visit.
